Kalamela 2024 Kick-off Ceremony

The Registration Kick-off Ceremony for the 19th Keli International Kalamela took place on 18th May, 2024 at Wisenthalle, Schulstrasse 27, 8542 Wiesendangen, Switzerland, marking the official commencement of registration for the upcoming Kalamela.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome speech from the Keli President Deepa, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their interest and support. A keynote address by Benny Pulickel, a prominent member of Keli, inspired attendees with insights on the importance of Kalamela. Keli's secretary, Jijin Rajagopalan, and the convenor of the Kalamela Registration Committee, Prashanth KT also delivered greeting speeches. As the registration kick-off ceremony commenced, new events such as Violin, Guitar, Keyboard, Thiruvathira, and Group Song were announced as recent additions to the Kalamela lineup.


KALAMELA

Keli International Kalamela - the largest Pravasi Youth Festival held outside India, organized by KELI Switzerland - is scheduled in Zurich Switzerland.

The contestants coming from different parts of the world will be competing in dance, music, fine arts and media events. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of all the events will be awarded certificates and trophies. In addition to that, special awards like Soorya India Kalathilakam or Kalaprathiba Trophy and Certificate for the best performing artist, Fr. Abel Memorial Trophy and Certificate for the overall champion in non-dance events, KELI Kalaratna Trophy and Certificate for the overall champion in dance events Janapriya Awards for media events (Photography, Short film and Open Painting), Balaprathibha for best performing Mini, Balatharam for best performing Sub Junior, Yuvaprathibha for best performing Junior and Yuvatharam for best performing Senior are to be won.

Keli International Kalamela has turned out to be the International Event for all young artists who want to test their ability against other talented counterparts in most of the known forms of Indian Arts.

When Keli is getting ready to host this most acclaimed and prestigious event outside India, hundreds of most talented artists will travel from different parts of the world to contest in fifteen different disciplines in four different age groups.

In its pursuit towards universality, Keli is lifting the pravasi barriers in all the age group, for any versatile artists, who may qualify to compete in this prestigious event
